Christmas is Coming.....

The kids are so excited about Christmas.  I can't wait to watch them on Christmas morning.

Bert has been pretty difficult lately.  I really, really hope it's just a phase and that he'll soon outgrow it.  Patsy has been pretty good, except for when she gets mad at me and says "I hate you and you're ugly and you're not going to celebrate Christmas!"  Other than that she's a really good kid!

so............i know it's been quite a while!  where do i start??

the twins finished their first year of prek.  they did very well.  they really got a lot out of it, and they're looking forward to their 2nd year.

we all went to mexico in may and had an awesome time!  so good that we're going back again next may!

we've been going to the beach every weekend.  Patsy and Bert love it.  Patsy was a little afraid of the water at first, but now we can't keep her away from it!  we also went to great adventure with Uncle Matt and Aunt Kirsten and had a great time.  we'll be going back there again before summer ends.

the twins are having swim lessons again this summer and are doing very well.  Bert can swim under water and is learning how to dive.  Patsy hasn't come quite as far as Bert, but she's doing great too.

Bert has become quite comfortable with using foul language.  his favorite words are "damnit" and "bullshit", and he knows how to use them in a complete sentence.  we're very proud.

ok.....so i said i'd keep this blog updated since we got a new computer.  obviously i haven't!  we have been having lots of fun with the computer, though!!!

so Patsy and Bert have both dropped out of dance class.  it was cute while it lasted, but i guess it's on to bigger and better things!

Bert is getting really good at riding his big kid bike (with training wheels, of course), while Patsy still prefers her tricycle.  boy she's really fast on that thing!!  Bert has been playing a little basketball, and he's actually pretty good!  Patsy has become quite the little artist, and loves to draw, color and paint.  she mostly colors inside the lines now, and makes one hell of a stick figure!

the bad language doesn't seem to be getting any better.  Patsy calls Bert an ass hole, Bert calls Patsy a dick, they both say fuck when something goes wrong....you get the picture.  one day the kids were riding their bikes in the driveway, and Patsy screamed at Bert "move you crazy ass!!!!!"  i was pretty sure the neighbors heard that one.  we've tried ignoring it, telling them it's not nice, giving them time-outs, now i'm back to just ignoring it.

we're going camping on Friday, and to Mexico in May, and the kids are very excited about both trips.  let's hope they're better than our Disneyworld trip!

Ok....So I Suck

I said I would keep this thing updated and I haven't.  Well.....now we have a new computer, so I really have no excuse.

The kids are doing well.  Aside from their truck driver mouths and a few other bad habits they've picked up, they're great.  They turned 4 last month.......holy crap!!!  They're growing so fast.

So, look for future posts......I promise I'll try!!!!

It's Been So Long...........

Where do I begin? We went camping in October with Grandpa and Grammy Jan. Aunt Theresa and the girls and Uncle Matt and Aunt Kirsten visited us there. We had a really good time. We will be going again in April.

Halloween was good. Patsy and Bert had a party in school, which I chaperoned. It was really cute. It was nice to see how they interact with the other kids in their class. Speaking of school, I had their parent/teacher conferences, and they're doing very well in school.

We're getting ready for Christmas. The kids seem very excited. Patsy wants Polly Pockets Race to the Mall and a real baby, and Bert wants Hot Wheels.

Now that Aunt Theresa fixed my computer, I'll have plenty of updates here!!

10 Years!!!!

On September 20, Robby and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We went away for the weekend (without the kids!), and got to spend some quite, relaxing, tantrum-free time together.

We have been through a lot, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't want my life any different than it is right now.
